Science Complex Commissioning

The science complex is the new home for science departments in Towson University’s Fisher College of Science and Mathematics. The new 320,000 SF science facility contains 50 teaching labs, 30 research labs, 50 classrooms, 10 collaborative student spaces, eight lecture halls, and an outdoor classroom. The new building has the infrastructure to support world-class scientific research and discovery, and supports the accelerated enrollment and research growth in the Fisher College of Science and Mathematics.

A key feature of the facility is an outdoor classroom connecting to an adjacent arboretum to provide opportunities for experiential learning in biology and environmental science. The complex also houses a rain garden for storm water control, planetarium, observatory, rooftop greenhouse, museum and a vivarium.

RMF performed commissioning services for all of the MEP building engineering systems.
