RMF Doubles Office Space in Charlotte

RMF Engineering, a leader in full-service MEP engineering, announces the expansion of its Charlotte office, located at 8720 Red Oak Blvd, Suite 370. The new workplace nearly doubles its physical presence to a new total of over 10,000 square feet, allowing the firm to accommodate an additional 21 employees.

“Over the past two years, our office has grown exponentially in both team size and project load, a testament to the tremendous talent we have acquired and the continued trust between RMF and our clients,” says Avery Monroe, PE, LEED AP, Charlotte division manager and principal at RMF. “We’re proud to have the physical space to support the great work we’re achieving with our partners across Charlotte and greater North Carolina RMF Engineering Doubles Office Space in Charlotte."

The expansion includes an increased allocation of individual workspace alongside the addition of a 36-person training room. The new space allows RMF to host trade events, welcoming fellow professionals and clients alike to gather and collaborate. The increased workspace also provides spatial flexibility for the firm to hire additional talent to support its evolving workflow.

As RMF’s regional presence expands, the firm will focus on growing its higher education, healthcare, and municipal practices while continuing to pursue new project opportunities across these sectors. The Charlotte office provided MEP services for several projects opening in 2026, including the University of North Carolina at Charlotte Richardson Stadium expansion, Western Carolina University Stadium expansion, and the Methodist University/Cape Fear Valley Health School of Medicine. The team is also in the process of collaborating with the University of North Carolina at Pembroke on its new Health and Science Center, which is slated to begin construction shortly.

RMF employs more than 375 people across 12 offices, with its Charlotte location serving as the firm’s second North Carolina office alongside Raleigh. The enhanced workplace builds upon the Charlotte office’s forward momentum, including the expansion of its healthcare portfolio. Notably, the team partnered with Advent to deliver building engineering services for its hospital in Weaverville, which recently broke ground, supporting its mission to expand outpatient services, physician offices, and rural health clinics across Western North Carolina.
