RMF’s Vance Nall Weighs in on the University of Georgia’s North Campus Infrastructure Modernization

Dating back to 1975 as the nation’s first state-chartered public university, the University of Georgia boasts a special beauty rooted in its history and historically significant buildings.

Of particular importance is UGA’s North Campus, which remains at the heart of campus. With history, comes the need for modernization, especially as it pertains to the campus’ infrastructure. In this article, learn about RMF’s 20-year relationship with the University of Georgia and the multi-phase design project the firm is heavily involved in to minimize disruption on this oldest part of campus by designing a more efficient low temperature heating water distribution system to heat the campus buildings. By converting to lower temperature heating water, the University will not only modernize the buildings and the distribution system but also set the stage for use of lower carbon heating sources on the oldest part of campus.
