Clemson / MUSC Health Break Ground on Medical and Research Facility

Healthcare Design highlights the start of construction on the new student medical and research facility developed through a partnership between MUSC Health and Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina. The three-story, 90,000-square-foot building will replace the existing Redfern Health Center and expand integrated healthcare, wellness, and research services for Clemson’s growing student population.

Through the partnership, MUSC Health will provide clinical services and expertise while Clemson University advances student wellness, academic research, and human performance initiatives within the facility. The building will include counseling and psychological services, pharmacy, laboratory and radiology services, telehealth, advanced imaging, a human performance research center, and sports medicine and ambulatory surgery services, supporting a comprehensive approach to student health and research when the facility opens in 2027.
