Multiple Library Renovations and Additions

Richland County voters passed a $59 million bond referendum to build new libraries and update existing branches to better match the way customers need and use the library today.

Nestled on seven wooded acres, the 13,000 SF Ballentine library offers customers more than four times the amount of room for resources, technology, services and programs. With floor to ceiling glass windows, public art pieces assembled by three local artists with input and help from the community are on full display. Located near Lake Murray, SC, the Ballentine location is characterized by learning and playing, with a devoted group of users who enjoy reading, creating and community.

The Wheatley library renovations included tutoring rooms or small conference rooms, increased children’s space, and the re-paving of parking facilities.
