Chilled Water Plant #3

RMF designed a new chilled water plant building to provide chilled water capacity to support current and future developments with installed equipment capable of producing 2,500 tons of chilled water. The building was designed with provisions for a future capacity of 7,500 tons of chilling capacity, thermal energy storage, two future boilers and two heat recovery chillers. The new plant also contains a 15 kV substation for electrical distribution to various existing buildings throughout campus.

This project provided utility connections for storm and sanitary sewers, domestic water, and natural gas. To support the new 7,500 ton plant, utility infrastructure was necessary, including chilled water distribution piping and primary electric service. Distribution piping was sized for 7,500 tons.
