RMF Engineering Named a 2022 MEP Giant by Consulting-Specifying Engineer
RMF Engineering, a leader in full-service MEP engineering, today announced its recognition as a 2022 MEP Giant by Consulting-Specifying Engineer, a CFE Media and Technology brand serving the nonresidential building industry.
The firm was ranked #42 in the publication’s annual program honoring the top mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering firms in North America.
“The 2022 MEP Giants have earned this title by proving that they find opportunity in the many fluctuations in the building engineering industry,” states the official press release distributed by the media company about this year’s honorees. “The 100 firms selected as the 2022 MEP Giants continuously push the boundaries in the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering sectors, providing the top engineered systems in the building business.”
In an online roundup of 21 project profiles selected from the 2022 MEP Giants, Consulting-Specifying Engineer highlighted four notable RMF Engineering projects:
- Clemson University Wilbur O. and Ann Powers New College of Business; Completed in collaboration with LMN Architects, LS3P, and DPR Construction.
- Commissioning Services for Fort Meade East Campus Buildings
- Duke University Medical Center Central Tower; Completed in collaboration with Perkins&Will and Skanska.
- NC A&T State University Engineering Research and Innovation Complex; Completed in collaboration with EYP (now Page), Balfour Beatty, and C2 Contractors.
The publication also made mention of a fifth RMF project in the Commissioning section of its online platform: UNC Health Surgical Tower Commissioning.

Of the honorees selected, RMF Engineering is one of the largest specialized practices included in this year’s list, placing in the top 20 of those operating independently of a dedicated architecture division. RMF will be featured alongside the other Giants in the September 2022 print edition of Consulting-Specifying Engineer.
