RMF Boston Office Grows with Strategic Hires
RMF Engineering, a leader in full-service MEP engineering, today announced the hiring of Stephanie Lafontaine, PE, LEED AP, and Conrad Hertz to the company’s Boston office.
As Lead Mechanical Engineer, Lafontaine will be responsible for the overall technical excellence of the firm’s work in the New England market, which includes commercial, educational, district energy, and science and technology facilities. Lafontaine earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from UMass Amherst and brings more than 15 years of experience performing design and construction oversight on complex renovation and new construction projects. Lafontaine’s approach to Sustainable design is to develop comprehensive strategies that reduce energy consumption, operate efficiently and are aligned with our clients’ goals for de-carbonization.
Hertz joins the company as a Senior Project Manager and New England Operations Lead. Hertz is adept at steering multi-disciplinary teams through challenging projects; his focus on project management and client relations have earned him the trust of many in the Boston AEC community. His experience working with owners, operators, OPMs, occupants, and architects has given him the ability to integrate the holistic project goals with the MEP systems to deliver a quality design solution. Hertz holds a BS from the University of Vermont and is a graduate of Tufts University’s Fletcher School. At RMF, he will work to maintain the high level of design that RMF is known for and provide opportunities for growth by delivering superior services to address client needs and engineering challenges.
“Stephanie and Conrad bring a passion for quality design and service to our clients that align with RMF’s core values,” said Caroline Fitzgerald, PE, Northeast Client Relations Lead. “We are thrilled to have them with us as we grow our New England practice.”
