Martha Larson offers insight to American School & University on Decarbonization of Campuses
In the April 13, 2023 American School & University article titled “Decarbonizing Campuses“ by Mike Kennedy, RMF’s Director of Sustainability, Martha Larson, is cited throughout offering her insight on the evolution of the meaning of decarbonization and how college campuses are introducing lower-carbon ways to make energy.
The word “decarbonization” has become increasingly more popular in today’s jargon, especially in light of the American College and University Presidents’ Climate Commitment, and a March report from the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. While many colleges and universities have already begun making great strides towards reaching net zero, the road is still a long one for others. By using three pillars, Martha helps break down the process to help make it less daunting and more achievable.
